A development centre provides the opportunity to see how an individual performs in a work-related situation which reflects the essential behavioural elements of current and/or future roles. They provide a comprehensive view of an individuals skills and behaviours and are widely regarded as one of the most accurate and valid tools for the identification of development needs.

Following the development centre, IHS construct comprehensive development reports that describe the findings of the centre and make specific development suggestions to guide the employee.


Individuals also receive a one-to-one feedback session which entails exploration of the detailed findings from the centre and constructive development suggestions. This enables individuals to gain an insight into their performance and potential development needs and can be used to feed into discussions with his/her manager and HR support to develop Individual Development Plans.
